PROJECT OVERVIEW
“Just Talking” is a lecture series that uncovers the design choices made by dating apps and how we as designers can help users form genuine (or not so genuine) connections. This series talks about the gamification of dating apps, the advances of technology, and how good design can help promote genuine connection.
OBJECTIVE
Shed light on how design can impact the ways in which people communicate and connect online through a lecture series as well as show different forms of communication and what those conversations can look like through a connected a poster series.
APPROACH
By understanding the different approaches people have to online dating such as dopamine swiping, one sided conversations, to (hopefully) genuine communication these posters each highlight a different faucet of the online dating world. Each poster presents this through the text bubble conversation going on, the color choices made, and the guest speaker and the content of their respective presentation.
