North Carolina
Transportation Museum

BRANDING | TRADEMARK

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The North Carolina Transportation Museum's history runs deep, it marks home for the largest locomotive repair facility in the SE as well as the historic Barbers Junction Depot built in 1898. Beloved by many this rebrand hopes to add some coal to the fire that keeps this historic museum rolling.

OBJECTIVE

Produce a unique visual language that references NCTM's history as well as create more opportunity for visual design and an expandable brand mark.

APPROACH

With this rebrand the logo condenses the typography and makes call backs to famous New York subway signage as seen with the circles that hold the Museums acronyms. This rebrand also adds a newfound vibrancy with the color pallet that grabs the viewer’s eye.

Overall this rebrand has unique call backs to well know transportation systems and adds a newfound vibrancy and life to the North Carolina Transportation Museum
